Five nights out

Drayton Arms

There are so many pubs with theatres above or behind that we couldn’t list them all, so we picked one. This is the Drayton Arms Theatre, not far from Gloucester Road (Piccadilly, District) station. Turn right and it’s a short walk.

The pub is very popular, and the theatre is upstairs. Tickets may be £12 to £15.

Two warnings:

  • as with most theatres in pubs, don’t expect lavish sets and huge orchestras, but do expect interesting and involving productions (and value for money)
  • steep steps upstairs

There are many, many other excellent small theatres above pubs in London. There may be one near to you. Look here to see more.
