On the day
Can you take friends? Perhaps, but they may not be allowed inside. In our experience, piercing studios tend to be small. It may be an adventure for you but it’s work for the piercer. They don’t want annoyances and distractions. But you can always ask.
Ditto with filming. Perhaps, if you go back and get to know the piercer and they know you, then video may be possible later, but concern yourself only with getting the piercing done.
Have something to eat just before. Just a sandwich maybe. Take water.
Don’t tell the piercer it’s your first time. You might be nervous, but they might be too as you are a new customer.
Measuring up
Make absolutely clear to the piercer what you want. There may be a reason why they can’t do it, and they will explain. They may make better suggestions.
They will mark out where the jewellery will go. Look at it and make sure you are happy. If not, say so. Once it’s done, it is too late.
The actual piercing will take seconds. It may hurt and it may not but it will be over quickly. There may be a little blood, but this is unlikely.
Once the jewellery is it, you can look at yourself in the mirror and admire how good it looks.
