It was such a hit that a sequel went into production. Much of the story and all the best songs had gone, so Jolson Sings Again is thin and short.
There are cast and character changes.
The film brings us up to the time of the making of the first film, and a huge chunk of the sequel is just reprised bits of the first.
Another success.
We have the two films in a box set on dvd, but it’s old.
