Of course, after they split, all four had solo careers but were also associated with bands.
McCartney had Wings (aka Paul McCartney and Wings). They made several albums, had big hits and toured. No-one would have gone to see them if it hadn’t been for Paul, so he was the driving force and the big attraction.
John had the Plastic Ono Band. They made albums, had some hit singles and did a few concerts.
George was the prime mover of The Traveling Wilburys. He wasn’t the only big attraction. Dylan and Orbison were there, and some others.
Ringo had the All-Starr Band. Some very famous people have played in that at times, including Billy Preston, Gary Brooker and Graham Gouldman. Ringo plays drums a bit and smiles and sings some old favourites.
