Chiswick House and gardens
We’ve written before about going to Chiswick to see where the videos for Paperback Writer and Rain were made. It’s a great area to visit for so many reasons.
We went once, to try and figure out exactly where they had been. We don’t remember having much success.
It;s not a long walk to the river and the City Barge pub (27 Strand-on-the-Green, Gunnersbury, W4 3PH) where some of Help! was filmed.
A more interesting visit is to St Pancras Old Church, behind St Pancras station. Some very well-known pictures were taken there, and the church and grounds are worth a visit anyway.
