Soho had a reputation for strip clubs, sex shops, ‘models’ and prostitutes. That’s almost all gone now, and Soho is an area of smart restaurants and bars and coffee shops.
But there are still some signs of the old days, not as seedy as they were of course.

Lots of stations, including Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road.
Many London old-timers tell us that the atmosphere and character has gone from the area, that it used to be a fun if seedy place but now it’s just like anywhere else.
Our original choice for rooftop bar closed in the few weeks between writing the entry and publishing it. If you intend to go somewhere, double check it still exists!!
