The Overground

Now, you might say ‘oh, well, it’s outside the centre, we won’t need it’ but actually there are many stops that serve places you may well want to visit. Here is a list (from west to east) of just some:

  • Richmond, for historic Richmond
  • Kew Gardens, for historic Kew Gardens
  • Kensington (Olympia) for the exhibition halls and High Street Kensington
  • Shepherd’s Bush, for the big Westfield shopping arcade
  • Harrow and Wealdstone for Harrow
  • Kensal Green for the cemetery
  • Hampstead Heath for Hampstead village and the heath
  • Camden Road for Camden Town and market
  • Highbury and Islington for Upper Street
  • Stratford for the Olympic Village and the other large Westfield shopping arcade
  • trendy Hoxton and Shoreditch High Street
  • Forest Hill for the Horniman Museum
  • historic Crystal Palace for the park and dinosaurs

However, perhaps the very best known part for tourism is the Euston to Watford Junction section, which links to the Harry Potter studios.
