Let’s do the jab

According to some reports, there is a large minority of people in the UK who have said that, given the chance for a vaccination, they would decline. Just how selfish can you get?

I know people who have said they will not have it. Why?

The “it’s only like bad flu/it’s a hoax” opinion is still very common, despite the number of cases and deaths. As, indeed, is the “Bill Gates wants to tag us all so he can control us” idea.

One person I know is not having it because a friend of hers knows someone who has seen a website that says it could be dangerous.

A neighbour says she has heard that it has been tested on people and that they could have become ill, so that’s a reason for not having it.

I’m still trying to understand this.

At least the Pope says it is ok to have the vaccine.

Trumped

As I write this, D Trump, the so-called president of the USA, is finally giving some indication he is ready to leave the White House. Not admit defeat, of course, oh no, but at least go.

The probability is he will resign early, have the Pence man pardon him and his family from all crimes past, present and future and will just go off to make the same old wild claims and announce he is running again in 2024.

While Trump did get a record numer of votes, his opponent got very many more, millions more. For Trump it was a humiliating defeat. His lackeys will be telling him he won, but the lackeys are mostly nuts, especially Giuliani and the Sidney Powell woman.

The Trump lawsuits have been dismissed as without merit and wasting court time. He and his team should be punished for bringing the democratic process into disrepute.

We can but hope that Trump and his pals get their just desserts.

Scumbags

I have long said that people who do Trump’s dirty work, and Trump himself, and his family, all of them, should be responsible for anything criminal they did, whatever it may be, from spreading false information (basically lying) to bribery, treason, false accounting and anything.

In fact, my feeling has always been that anyone who voted for Trump should face the consequences, but I suspect that’s not practical.

But they should not be able to get away with it, nor should Trump be allowed to pardon them or himself for any crimes ever, past present or future.

You can make a long list. There will be dozens of them, from Trump to the daughters, sons and son in law, lawyers, press spokespeople, the lot.

Here’s someone expressing a similar view:

Vaccine

President Trump has just been on tv announcing the vaccine will be available from next week.

Pity about Priti

This week has been Anti-Bullying Week here in the UK, and other places too, possibly.

We all know bullying happens in schools, all the time, but it happens in the workplace too. As a victim, I can tell you it is not good. Personal comments and criticisms, bad language, undermining your role in front of others and a lack of respect do not encourage people to give their best. In my case, going to work could be hell.
