Well, you’d be wrong, bigly. The most easterly state is… Alaska.
Oh yes, really, look at the map. There are whole blobs of little islands that stretch across the 180o line of longitude, putting them very east of mainland USA, as far east as it is possible to be.
Most famously are the Aleutian Islands.
