Just on the subject of my very religious former student, she did tell me that she is a huge fan of Katie Price. If you don’t know her, she was, under the name Jordan, a famous model and has been a reality tv star and stuff.

Over the years she has had operations to increase and decrease her breast size, and incrase them again. Several books have been written ‘by’ her. She has had much legal trouble for money issues.
My student was saying she thought Katie is fantastic, a role model. she has read all the books and was very excited about meeting her, just a few weeks ago. I will hear how that went later in the year, I guess.

I asked what she thought of the breast operations. My student was fine with that (I never thought to ask if she would have them done herself).
The subject turned to piercings and tattoos. Apparently they are ‘non-Christian’. I asked where it says in the Bible ‘thou shalt not get thy ears pierced’. After some thought, my friend replied we should ‘honour our bodies’. I am not sure that’s what the Bible says. the best I can find is “You were bought with a price. So then, honour and glorify God with your body“
As far as I know, people have been modifying and adorning their bodies since bodies were discovered.

I see Katie Price has tattoos…
