Except, it wasn’t. Faust has continued to exist in some form or other. They have produced new albums. Many of their original tapes have been compiled into CDs and also their BBC radio broadcasts are available.
The two remaining core musicians still tour.
A couple of years ago, they did a series of concerts with an orchestra celebrating Faust IV. Unlike many of their concerts, there were no knitting ladies or pneumatic drills this time. The concert at Union Chapel was sold out.
