Ages ago I wrote a short piece questioning why tv shows like Naked And Afraid fuzz out contestants’ genitals.

UK Channel 4 has been a pioneer of full frontal nakedness, and two new programmes have appeared.

One has the catchy title Naked, Alone and Racing to Get Home. It’s Naked And Afraid, set in Scotland but no parts fuzzed out at all.

The second is Naked Education, where people young and old, but mainly young, talk about what the naked body looks like.

Naked cleaners

I was looking for something for a friend and found, quite by accident, that a phenomenon I thought had come and gone was still around, that is, naked cleaners (ie people who come to your house, strip naked and then clean it).

Funnily enough, one of the companies is based literally around the corner from where I live.

There has been a bit of a scandal in France just recently. It has been reported here in the UK as one of those summer stories about ‘those funny foreigners’, but it is actually quite serious, I think.

In many parts of Europe, topless sunbathing on the beach is accepted, relatively common and legal. And harmless.

However, in France, the adults in a family on one particular beach objected to three women sunbathing topless and called the police on them. You can read about it here.
