Over the years, Wendy Carlos has created a wide range of music on record. There were other albums in a similar vein, re-recordings and collections, soundtracks to films (including some Kubrick and TRON) and some original works. There’s even a Peter and the Wolf with “Weird” Al Yankovic.
One of my favourites is Sonic Seasonings, a very early ambient album with one lp side devoted to each season. The cd release contains extras that are just as good.
I often look for either new material or old material re-released, or extras, but there’s nothing. Carlos’ website seems to have stuck in 2005 and I don’t believe she has produced anything new that is available to the public.
I guess she has retired. Except…
