Randi

Randi wrote a book about Gellar, another about faith healers, another about Nostradamus as well as many other titles exposing and explainig frauds (like water divining and horoscopes) and also books about magic.

He appeared frequently on tv, in the USA and UK, had his own series and the BBC recently did quite a nice biography of his life.

A foundation was set up in Randi’s name, with an aim to educate people about claims of ‘special powers’. A prize of $1,000,000 was offered to anyone who could demonstrate, under scientific conditions, any special power of any kind. No-one won it, though some have tried.

Randi was a friend to and big influence on Penn and Teller and many others, and had been ill for some time.
