How many is not enough?

So, a question: you go to see the band in concert. How many of the classic can be missing before you feel cheated? How many have to leave before it isn’t the same band any more?

I was thinking about this a while ago, when Christine McVie died and Mick Fleetwood said that would be it for Fleetwood Mac. Some wags said it had been over when Lindsey Buckingham got the push, but others, like me, said it was never the same after Peter Green left. But that’s just me.

My Mum used to like The Drifters. Not Cliff Richard’s band, but the American singers. My memory is that there were multiple versions of the group kicking around at the same time. My friend Jack Oliver did a cartoon about it in Record Mirror:
