What is the special reason I mentioned at the top?
Well, the music was largely supplied by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. This is a very fine orchestra conducted then by the legendary Sir Neville Marriner. A thoroughly nice chap too.
After the film was more-or-less completed, some pieces needed to be re-recorded, longer, faster., slower whatever, to fit the edit I suppose, so sessions were booked at St John’s Smith Square.
At that time, my partner worked for the orchestra, and I was roped in to make the tea and coffee for the players for their breaks. So, in some small way, I contributed to the making of the film. But I am not on the credits…
